My name is Ebay Hampton and I am the author of this blog Bottom Line HR. I started this blog to share my experiences and thoughts on how HR can continue to be seen as strategic partners along with making positive impacts to the “Bottom Line.”

I have the book “Great Jobs for Psychology Majors” to thank for bringing me to HR. I saw this book one day in the university bookstore. After skimming through it, I said to myself, let me see what else I can do with a Psychology degree outside of becoming a Psychologist which was my first career choice. After reading the chapter on Human Resources, I was hooked. Long story short, I changed my major to Business Administration and convinced the Director of HR at the university to hire me as a student assistant. She hired me in my first HR job as a HR Generalist.

I’ve worked in a number HR roles in various industries from Education, Retail, Financial Services, Oil and Gas, and Automobile Collision Repair.

I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a BSBA in Business Administration and minor in Psychology. I earned my MBA in Human Resources and Corporate Finance from the University of Dallas. I also hold the Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SHPR).

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by. Just so you know, the thoughts, opinions, or whatever you want to call them are mine only and do not represent anyone, anything other than myself.
